Sweet toasts with Apple topping

Ingredients

1/2 loaf Brown Bread Rich Bake - baguette
2 Apple - (green), medium size
1 1/2 tbsp Cinnamon
1 tbsp Diet sugar
1 tbsp Orange Juice

Directions

  1. Slice bread diagonally. Sprinkle ½ tbsp cinnamon over bread slices. Heat oven to 190 C. Put bread slices on a baking sheet and bake until crispy. Leave to cool.
  2. Meanwhile, core apples and cut into 4 or 8 pieces. Slice each piece into ½ cm thin slices.
  3. In a non stick skillet, stir apples, 1tbsp cinnamon, diet sugar, orange juice and 2 tbsp water. Bring to boil then reduce heat and leave to simmer for 4 minutes until apples are crispy tender. Leave to cool slightly.
  4. Top toasts with apple topping, arrange on a serving platter and serve.
